Q:What is the Taps Family?
A:The Taps Family is a network of paranormal research groups, that are authorized by The Atlantic Paranormal Society to assist it conducting paranormal investigations, that Taps cannot handle due to geographic and travel barriers. The Taps Family consists of nearly 80 groups and has around 800 researchers at its reach.

Q:Who is in the Taps Family?
A:To see a complete listing of the Taps Family, you can click here to view them by state.

Q:Who manages the Taps Family?
A:The Taps Family is directly managed by three individuals: Brent Fair (Manager), Britt Griffith (Co-Manager) and Jason Porter (International Manager). Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson are also involved in the managerial process of the Taps Family.

Q:Is Taps legally responsible for the members of the Taps Family at all?
A:The answer is no. The individual members of the Taps Family are responsible for their own actions. They also founded, manage and operate their own groups the way they see fit. Taps and individual members of the Taps Family are separate entities.

Q:I have a complaint about a Taps Family group, where do I lodge it?
A:You can send your complaint here: complaints@tapsfamily.com. Please be sure to send a detailed description of your complaint and the situation. We cannot do much with vague descriptions. Also, do not complain about a group if you will not specify the groups name. We will not investigate claims that are from anonymous sources either. Unfortunately there is a lot of "hate" and competition in the paranormal field and we MUST know all aspects of a complaint before we even look into it. This includes who is lodging it!

Q:What is the process of review for complaints lodged against members?
A:Once a complaint is received, it will be distributed to the managing members of the Taps Family. Generally (depending on the severity of the complaint), we will just review it and file it. If several complaints are received about the same Taps Family Member, we will compile the reports and review them over a conference call. At times, Jason and Grant will become involved and in severe cases we will collectively decide to remove a team from the Taps Family. One unorganized complaint will certainly not get a group removed from the Taps Family, however we will take notice!

Q:How can I join the Taps Family?
A:Simple. You can do so by submitting an application here: Apply!

Q:How do I qualify for membership?
A:You have to meet the requirements mentioned here. Beyond that, there are ongoing requirements to be met once your a member. These ongoing requirements include: Being able to submit a case contact twice a year to verify your activity level and showing initiative within the community.

Q:How long does it really take to be accepted?
A:The application process is long and you can be waiting a long time unfortunately. On the average, we won't even get to review an application for up to three months. We have had some applicants waiting for years actually and keeping people waiting too long. However we have rectified that issue by creating a status login page, that will allow people to see where their application is at in the process.

Q:Can I find out the status of my application?
A:Click here to see the status of your application. Before you go check your status, you must have your 6 digit code ready to enter in. The 6 digit code is the one you submit with your application.
